Introduction

This one-year Business Studies course is composed of several modules. Each module is a self contained unit of study within the programme and is delivered and assessed independently. It aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to enter the world of business. On successful completion of the course, students will have many opportunities to gain employment in the Computer/Business Administration areas or progress to further study in the Information Technology or Business/Commerce areas.

Progression to Higher Education

• Progression to a variety of third level courses in Institutes of Technology and Universities in the areas of Office Information Systems, Business Studies, Information Systems Management, Electronic Business and Training and other business courses.

• Students may also progress to Certificate in Administration Level 6 in McEgan College see p 8.
