Day to Day Procedures

SCHOOL DAY
The school day is as follows:
Monday                 8.57 – 4.00 Break 11.05 – 11.20 Lunch 1.20 – 2.00
Tuesday                8.57 – 4.00 Break 11.05 – 11.20 Lunch 1.20 – 2.00
Wednesday            8.57 – 1.20 Break 11.05 – 11.20
Thursday                8.57 – 4.00 Break 11.05 – 11.20 Lunch 1.20 – 2.00
Friday                     8.57 – 3.20 Break 11.05 – 11.20 Lunch 1.20 – 2.00

LOCKERS
Students are provided with a locker on their first day where they can leave books, copies, etc. that they do not need to take home. This is part of the school levy.

BOOKS
All textbooks will be provided to students from the School Book Scheme when the students arrive in September.

UNIFORM
The uniform consists of:
Grey trousers – skirt is optional for girls
Grey shirt
Petrol blue jumper
Black footwear

HOMEWORK CLUB
A homework club operates in the school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Students will always be supervised in the homework club by a supervisor and will be assisted with their homework. The times of the homework club are as follows:
Monday                  4.00 – 5.00
Tuesday                 4.00 – 5.00
Thursday                4.00 – 5.00

SUPERVISED STUDY
In addition to the Homework Club supervised study is available to students at a reasonable cost.

Times of supervised study are as follows:

Monday                  4.00 – 6.00

Tuesday                 4.00 – 6.00

Thursday                4.00 – 6.00

ASSESSMENTS
Results on students’ performance are sent home Christmas and Summer. This will provide you with detailed information on your child’s academic performance. As well as parent teacher meetings each class has a class tutor who will keep parents updated on students’ performance.

CODEOFBEHAVIOUR
The school has a comprehensive code of behaviour which outlines school rules, regulations, sanctions and procedures. This code of behaviour is signed up to by each student before they enter the school. The school also has a detailed policy on bullying. Our aim is to encourage students to develop respect for themselves, parents / guardians, fellow students, teachers and the community in general. We endeavour to provide an environment which enables students to develop into mature, responsible and caring adults.

LUNCHTIME
Students in first, second and third year are not permitted to leave the School Campus during lunchtime. Canteen facilities including hot food and activities are provided in the school. Senior students may go downtown with parental permission.
